Animal Health Partnership Branding

Role: Branding Design

From idea to reality in four days

I was asked to create the brand for this new partnership between two entities only a week before their launch. We needed to work fast. I held a workshop with stakeholders and started with a simple brainstorm of words that they wanted their brand to emulate. Using this list of words, we performed one of my favourite branding activities: flashcards from the book Archetypes in Branding by Margaret Hartwell and Joshua C. Chen. We narrowed the brand down to a primary and secondary archetype and started whiteboarding possibilities for names.

After the workshop, I went back to my office and mocked up five initial logo design ideas which I pitched to stakeholders on all sides.

The approvals process was quick and positive, after which I created brand guidelines which included everything from logo standards, colours, brand graphics, social guidelines, etc. These were used to create all materials for the partnership’s launch event. These brand guidelines were made available for any agencies that need to use them in the future.

I installed a quick WordPress instance and inserted the team’s content into it to ensure that their website was live for launch day.
